The Oklahoma State Cowboys lost to Tulsa on Friday to fall to 1-2 on the season and, despite his years of winning, fans are calling for HC Mike Gundy’s job. Doug thinks Gundy just needs to get his bearings and adjust to the new era of NIL rules allowing schools to pay student athletes, then he can return the Cowboys to competitiveness.
Doug Gottlieb: “What was the point of Mike Gundy being awesome for 15 years, now all of a sudden, we’re playing players and clearly, they’ve had trouble adjusting? The sport has been turned on its head. People can compete that never could previously compete because they have money, and they can spend it freely…but I just hate this knee-jerk, lose a game, let’s fire him.”
