DP doesn’t understand all the negative reactions around LeBron James’ decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. For two decades the loudest critics have hammered him for "only" having four rings and falling short of Michael Jordan’s six, but the second he takes a minimum deal and chases another title, he’s suddenly a shameless ring chaser. It’s become obvious that the hypocritical LeBron haters will never be satisfied.
Dan Patrick: “We chastise him because he doesn't have the rings that Mike has, or Kobe has, and now he wants to go get one more. He took the minimum. There are quarterbacks in college making more money than LeBron James' salary with the Sixers. I'm okay with that. You sacrificed. It just feels like LeBron's doing it, therefore there has to be a negative attitude.”
