Covino & Rich are filling in for DP, and they’re impressed by Josh Allen’s thoughtful gifting. It has become a holiday tradition in the NFL for starting quarterbacks to pass out gifts to the offensive linemen who protect them all season and Josh Allen hit the bullseye (pun intended) with his offering this year.
Steve Covino: “It’s practical but useful. You know they’re going to take advantage of it. It’s not something silly. They’re gonna use it!”
Rich Davis: “What if (Patrick) Mahomes, who is such a face of the NFL, what if everything in his gift bag, from the Meta glasses, to the watch, to everything; what if they’re all sponsors of his and he really didn’t pay much at all for it? Does that matter to you at all.”
Steve Covino: “No, no. Good for him for keeping them in mind and using his contacts wisely. He has connections; they don’t, so I think it’s a cool move. Josh Allen did a good job.”
