Kelvin Washington: “If JJ McCarthy is your guy, start the clock. Go ahead. You have Kevin O’ Connell, who has been proven to be a quarterback whisperer. You have a great defense. You’ve got a running game. You have a long runway with JJ McCarthy, who you believe in. Why wait? Why hesitate? Why cloud the room and get it weird with Aaron Rodgers in there?”
Rob Parker: “They won 14 games. They were in the playoffs! They had a certain degree of where they are. They’re a team that’s ready to take the next step, win a playoff game, make a run. I’m not saying that JJ McCarthy can’t do that...but if you’re talking about getting a veteran QB that can put you over the top and win a Super Bowl, that’s all you need in Minnesota!”
