Los Angeles Chargers S Derwin James Jr. joins Ryan Leaf who is filling in for DP on The Dan Patrick Show. He talks about how the strict defensive rules make it difficult to react in the moment on the field. He is looking forward to facing the Chiefs in Kansas City on Sunday night. And he says HC Jim Harbaugh is the type of leader he aspires to be and it’s easy to play hard for a guy who cares that much.
Derwin James Jr.: “Coach (Jim) Harbaugh, he’s...creating a family environment that I’ve never been around in the NFL in my seven year so, man, it’s just been a lot of fun. And when you can make it about family, man, you’re just going to that much harder for that person.”
