Stop Acting Like Failed Quarterback Bust Mitch Trubisky is Hurt

Ben Maller: “Was Mitch Trubisky actually hurt or did Matt Nagy bench Trubisky? I’m going to go with the latter. Forget this game, they should have benched Trubisky WEEKS AGO. He’s been wretched all season and the only reason he has continued on as Bears quarterback is because of his draft capital and what the Bears gave up to get Trubisky in the first place. If they hadn’t traded all those Draft picks to get him, he would have already been benched.” (Full Audio at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Ben Maller explain why he’s not buying Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubsiky’s shoddy hip pointer diagnosis as the reason he was pulled from Chicago’s pitiful 17-7 loss versus the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football.

Backup quarterback Chase Daniel was inserted into the game for the team’s final two drives after Trubisky put up another dud performance in a nightmare third season for the former no. 2 pick that was infamously selected ahead of All-Pros Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson in the 2017 NFL Draft.

There was a lot of speculation into Bears head coach Matt Nagy’s decision into going to backup Chase Daniel in the dying minutes, with the debate pitting a potential injury versus Nagy sending a message to Trubisky and warning him on an impending permanent switch at QB if Trubisky continued along the path as the league’s worst statistical quarterback.

Trubisky has the 29th ranked QBR in the league, only ahead of Kyle Allen, Mason Rudolph, and Marcus Mariota, and is on pace to throw for just 2,528 yards and 14 touchdowns in a FULL season.

Check out the audio below as Maller details why Trubisky should have benched weeks ago, and why he doesn’t think Trubisky is legitimately injured either.
