President-elect Donald Trump is planning to take more than 200 executive actions during his first day in office Monday (January 20) in an effort to clean up what his aides described as the nation's "failed and corrupt political establishment," FOX News Digital reported.

The actions reportedly include 50 legally binding executive orders, some of which focus on border security and domestic energy production, as well as others designed to ensure federal workers are hired based solely on merit. Trump reportedly plans to sign the orders immediately after his inauguration Monday, according to senior adviser Jason Miller.

The president-elect had previously indicated that he planned to sign at least 25 orders during his first day in office, FOX News Digital reported.

“This is a massive, record-setting, unmatched first wave,” a Trump official told the website. “This is the most extensive list of executive actions in American history, all guided by a relentless commitment to deliver on the campaign promise.”

Trump is expected to declare a national border emergency that will effectively close the southern U.S. border in adherence with the orders, however, it's unclear whether he will take the same immediate action with the northern border. Plans for mass deportation, which are slated to begin in Chicago immediately after his inauguration, have already been leaked publicly.
