The Kettering VFW Post 9927 will be having their First ever Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Event.
As you are aware Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects not only our great men and women of the US Armed Forces, but also our First Responders (Firefighters and Police) too.
We will kick off the month with a BBQ and Raffle in the hopes to raise money for the Dayton VA Medical Center PTSD Clinic. The proceeds of this event will help with their In-House treatment. While a Veteran is in this program, they are neither able to leave the VA grounds nor go to work, which causes an extreme financial hardship for them and their families.
WHERE: The Kettering VFW Post 9927 3316 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45429
WHEN: June 1, 2019 -- the start of PTSD Awareness Month.
WHY: To do whatever we can to stem the tide of 22 Veteran suicides a day.
Please feel free to tell as many of your friends and family about this event as you’d like.
