Make a Difference Day!
Join us for the 1st Annual Miami Valley Anti-Bullying Coalition Make a Difference Day, Saturday August 25th at Welcome Stadium from 9a-3p. This anti-bullying rally will have speakers presenting their individual testimonies, as well as experts speaking on depression, teen suicide, self-esteem and school violence.
"We are expecting a huge turn-out – potentially thousands of Dayton area students will attend in the hopes of learning more about the resources available in our community," said Beth Mann, president of FLOC. "This event could be lifesaving to hundreds of children that are suffering from the effects of bullying. We're going to need quite a few volunteers to get it going. This will be a very important day for so many youth in our community; we would love to have you join us."
Busses will be running throughout the Dayton area, picking up children who would like to attend.
Dyer, Garofalo, Mann, Schultz will be offering free case evaluations for the families of children that have faced bullying through FLOC’s anti-bullying wesite, www.stopbullyingdayton.org.
The Dayton community is encouraged to volunteer and participate in whatever way they can.
