GREG NARED is an Executive Sports Marketing Consultant in Portland, Oregon, but longtime Dayton area sports fans remember him as a brilliant football-basketball star at Wilmington High School and a fantastic guard for the Maryland Terrapins (1985-89).
After graduating from Maryland with a bachelor's degree in communications, Nared spent 14 years (1992-2006) as Business Affairs Manager at Nike in Beaverton, Oregon, where he managed all aspects of business around Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie including product development, budget, marketing, promotions and public relations.
Nared was vice president of the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills, Calif., and even spent a year as assistant women's basketball coach at the University of Washington (2010-11).

Basketball runs deep in the Nared family.
Daughter Jacklin "Jackie" Nared played for the Saint Mary's Gaels in Moraga, Calif., and daughter Jaime Nared — an incoming freshman at the University of Tennessee — was honored as Gatorade Oregon Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the 2013-14 season after averaging 28.2 points, 14 rebounds and 4.1 steals per game as a senior at Westview High School in Portland.
