Why so many recent sports and entertainment deaths?

There was Don Zimmer, Chuck Noll and Tony Gwynn.

There was Bob Welch, Casey Kasem and Billy McCool.

I mourn their passing, but celebrate their enormous achievement and contributions to baseball, football and the entertainment industry.

Why can't the Cincinnati Reds find a seventh-inning pitcher?

It's brutal watching Reds relievers fail at such a critical point in games. Sam LeCure, Manny Parra and Logan Ondrusek all worked in the Pirates' three-run seventh that tied the game at 5-5. Todd Frazier's homer in the ninth gave the Reds a 6-5 victory.

The Reds' bullpen has blown leads in three of the last four games.

What's the future of Bengals tailback BenJarvus Green-Ellis?

I'm hoping he sticks with the club in 2014, the final year of his contract.

Although the Bengals can save about $2.5 million against the salary cap if they cut him, "The Law Firm" still has life left in his powerful legs.
