CareSource/The Foodbank - Mass Food Distribution

CareSource and The Foodbank will be hosting a mass food distribution

On Friday, September 15th, from 9a-11a, CareSource and The Foodbank will be hosting a mass food distribution for people in need of food assistance in Montgomery County.  The organizations will be passing out fresh fruits, vegetables and other items to individuals and families.

The event is open to the public.

Last year, The CareSource Foundation and The Foodbank held three mass food distributions in the Dayton area and provided more than 190,000 pounds of fresh food to more than 6,701 individuals or 1,979 families in Preble, Greene and Montgomery counties.

“The CareSource Foundation is thrilled to once again be partnering with The Foodbank to provide much needed food to our community. This mass food distribution will provide fresh fruits and vegetables to individuals and families facing food insecurity,” said Cathy Ponitz, Vice President, CareSource Foundation. “The Dayton area Foodbank provides vital resources to many of our 1.6 million members, and we are proud to be working with this organization to further our mission of improving our members’ health and well-being.”
