Saturday, April 29th, the Greene County Housing Program will host its 1st Annual Community 5K Walk/Run. Participants will be able to walk or run in a 5K on either a team or as an individual. Funds raised from this event will help continued operation of the shelter for families and children.
Registration opens at 8:30a. Walk begins at 9:30a from Community Park East (691 East Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn 45324)
This is a family fun event filled with kid friendly activities, food trucks, music and exercise – all for a good cause. Prizes will be given for teams who have raised the most funds!
Greene County Housing Program is one of Greene County’s only housing and transition program created for families who are experiencing homelessness.
The Greene County Housing Program serves approximately 266 individuals per year who experience homelessness. The cost of a shelter per night in Greene County is $18.25. This program helps to offset that cost. In addition, 92% of the individuals who exit the program will then go on to obtain stable housing, thus becoming contributors to our community. Help us to continue changing the lives of children and families in Greene County!
