In recognition of Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum’s 175th year, National Volunteer Month and Earth Day, Woodland invites you to join us for our Spring Cleanup Day on April 22, 2017 from 9AM to 12PM.  April is National Volunteer Month, and Woodland is looking to grow the number of talented and dedicated volunteers to assist with our spring clean-up.

Volunteers, groups, and individuals of all ages, interested in working outdoors in Dayton’s oldest green space are encouraged to join us for three hours on April 22, 2017.  Working with Woodland’s staff, volunteers will assist in the spring clean-up of over 200 acres of scenic cemetery landscape.  Assigned duties will include raking, debris pick up, weeding, planting and general garden preparation.

Please check in at the administration office, located at the main gate on Woodland Avenue.  To RSVP yourself or group, or if you require additional information, please contact Debra Mescher at 937-228-3221 or via email at  The first 175 registrants that RSVP by April 13th will receive a commemorative t-shirt in appreciation.

Thank you in advance for considering Woodland. Your volunteer activities, your time, effort and commitment are greatly appreciated.
